I'm afraid I'm a little slow on posting this, what with my son, my missus and finally me on Friday going down with nasty stomach bug last week.
But I am very pleased to announce that Sean Corfield, Matt Woodward, Doug Hughes and Gert Franz are the latest confirmed speakers for
Scotch on the Rocks 2008.
Previously announced were Joe Rinehart, Mark Drew, Scott Stroz and Peter Bell. I can't believe what a line-up we've already got for the conference and there's still another 9 months of growing to do before this baby is born!

Farcry is my CMS of choice and have the privilege of being a contributor to the code-base, so I'm a little biased.
I'm also pretty terrible at reading books and documentation, I learn better by getting my hands dirty, but even I have to admit that the documentation for Farcry 3 was pretty sparse. The Farcry 4 the
online docs are a lot better and now there is a brilliant addition to that documentation.
This morning Geoff Bowers released the
Daemon Farcry 4 Training Manual under Creative Commons licence for non-commercial use.
The training manual covers their 3 day course and give 122 pages of goodness that should help anyone get started with the basics and some of the more advanced techniques.
I would definitely recommend that anyone interested in Farcry take a good long look at this manual.

As a Adobe User Group Manager I filled out a some surveys for Adobe they very kindly sent me (and every other UG manager who did likewise) a copy of Adobe Creative Studio 3 Master Suite.
Many many big thank you's to Ed Sullivan and everyone at Adobe for showing their appreciation of the UG community with such a generous reward.
If you haven't seen CS3, it comes in a surprisingly small package that contains about 8 DVDs! It practically begged to be installed! So I tried and I tried again and finally managed it on the 3rd try!

Well Its only taken 3 weeks, but I finally collared Andy for a chat about
Scotch on the Rocks.
We had a chat about the past events, as well as what is coming up for the June 2008 conference.
I plan to try and do a podcast every other month, hopefully, with the speakers and sponsors of the conference.
