Fancy being my manager?

I've already managed to scare off my manager here at my new job with Knowledge House, so they are recruiting for a replacement.

If you're in the Northeast or fancy coming up to the Northeast and fancy working with lovely me take a look at the job spec and get your application in before Thursday.

Universities for the North East (Unis4ne) is the regional association for the five NE universities (Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside) and for the Open University in the North. It is responsible for the development and coordination of a wide range of collaborative activities both across the north east's universities and with the wider regional community. In particular, it currently manages three major collaborative projects, Knowledge House (the universities' regional business consultancy service), Aimhigher (the regional higher education widening participation project), and Train to Gain HE (promoting employer engagement in higher level academic provision and skills development).

On behalf of Universities for the North East, Newcastle University is recruiting for the post of Knowledge House Information System (KHIS) Manager. Based at the Regional Technology Centre, Sunderland your role will be to lead the development of the KHIS network, for our web-based project management system and for internal IT systems and hardware.

You will be degree qualified in a relevant technical discipline or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience. You must have experience of leading complex commercial IT/IS projects and you must be familiar with up to date project management techniques. This is a development role but the successful candidate will be required to operate in a sales type environment.

This is a fixed term post and is available for two years in the first instance with a view to renewal.

You can find the full details here on the Newcastle University website.
