Eery sight

I live in a suburb of Newcastle. Out on the outskirts of the city, but not really in the city and not out of it either. There's some waste land and the metro line to the back of the house, but otherwise the nearest open space is about a half mile away. So last night I was coming down the loft ladders and happened to glance out the front windows to the road out side. I had to look twice, because in the orange of the street lights, bold as brass, walking down the middle of the road is a fox!!! Honest! It really was a fox. Pointy nose, bushy tail with a big blob of white on the end. Thats the first time I've ever seen a fox in real life and I suspect it will be the last for a long time. I only wish I'd had my camera in my hand and hadn't been go gobsmacked!

I see it every time here in London. Specially in the cold foggy mornings.

What about squirrels? Have you seen any?

    Cheers

No - no squirrels. The magpies have eaten them all. ;)
